On Thursday, former Vanderpump Rules star and ranch-dressing aficionado Stassi Schroeder and her husband, casting director Beau Clark, welcomed their first child together, a daughter, whose middle name is, uh, “Charlie Rose.”
In fairness, it seems Stassi didn’t intend to name her child, whose full name is Hartford Charlie Rose Clark, after the disgraced former 60 Minutes host, who has been accused of sexual misconduct by over 30 women. According to People, Hartford’s middle names were chosen to honor Beau’s father and Stassi’s grandmother.
“We truly cannot begin to describe the happiness and joy we are feeling at this moment,” the couple told People. “It’s something that you hear from all new parents right after birth, but something magical happens. We are feeling so blessed and grateful to have a beautiful and most importantly, healthy baby girl.”
Hartford is the first of many Vanderpump babies expected to join us this year. Former “Number-one guy in the group” Jax Taylor and his wife, Brittany Cartwright, are expecting a child, as are Lala Kent and her “Man,” Randall Emmett, and Scheana Shay and a rugby player. It’s unlikely we’ll see these babies onscreen any time soon, though, given that all signs point to Vanderpump Rules getting canceled. (Stassi herself was fired from the show earlier this year after former cast member Faith Stowers, who is Black, revealed that Stassi and Kristen Doute tried to get her arrested on false charges.)
Only time will tell which, if any, of the other Vanderbabies will be given the middle name “Matt Lauer.”
