TOM: SO RIGHT NOW, WE HAVE BEEN TOLD BY PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE THE SOUTHBOUNSIDED OF 81 GOING OVERHE T BRIDGE INTO CUMBERLANDOU CNTY IS DOWN TO ONE LANE. YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO SEE FAR IN THE DISTANCE THAT TRAFFIC IS JUST INCHING ALONG. A LOT OF TRUCKS BACKED UP ACROSS THE BRIDGE RIGHT NOW. WE ARE AWARE THE NORTHBOUND SIDE WAS CLOSED AT ONE POINT TWO LAND A LIFELINE HELICOPTE R.A PENNDOT SPOKESPERSON SAID TH WERE REPAIRING A BOX TRUCK BRIDGE WHEN THEY WERE KILLED. THE DRIVER OF THE OERTH VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A HOSPITAL AS WELL. PENNDOT SAYS I-81 SOUTH WILL CONTINUE TO REMAIN MOSTLY OSEDCL ON THE SOUTHBOUND SIDE FOREOM TIME AS POLICE CONTINUE TO INVESTIGATE THIS SITUATION AS WELL AS CLEAR THE SCENE. IT MAY REOPEN FULLY ISTH AFTERNOON. TOW TRUCKS WERE ON SCENE TO REMOVE VEHICLES INVOLVED , ACCORDING TO PENND.OT PENNDOT TELLS ME THE SCENE WAS MARKED AND THERE WEER PROPER HAZARD MARKERSN I THE AREA OF THIS DISABLED TOW TRUCK, SOMETHING THAT FACTORS INTO THE STATE’S MOVEVE OR LAW AS WELL AS GENERAL SAFETY HERE ON INTERSTATE 81.
